Barcode Scanning for Web Apps
STRICH is a JavaScript library for real-time barcode scanning in web apps, running directly in the browser (no server-side code). It leverages modern browser technologies such as WebAssembly and WebGL to achieve high-performance barcode scanning. We built STRICH to bridge the gap between expensive commercial offerings from large, established players and unmaintained, limited Open Source solutions.
“A Barcode Generator That Doesn’t Suck”
Partly for fun, partly to dogfood STRICH, we built a free barcode generator without all the usual annoying stuff: no ads, no signup, no cookies, and no barcode data ever leaves your device. It supports a wide range of 1D, 2D, GS1 and postal symbologies and exports to SVG, PNG and PDF.
